Release test

Release tests are recommended as soon as the developer has completed the development.

Because of the complexity of current products it is advisable that an expert who is not involved in the development process can test the device before it is brought onto the market and report all problems to the developer. Thus the developer can correct the errors detected. This process should be continued until all the problems are fixed.

In contrast to the official EIB/KNX tests, we can perform these release tests with unregistered prototype and pilot-production devices.

To control the costs the scope of the release tests can be determined in advance. Usually a certain number of typical tests are used because 100% testing would be time-consuming.

It is beneficial if we perform the release tests and the KNX certification tests, because a number of test sequences from the release test can be reused for the official test. Also the test engineer becomes familiar with your products which will help during the initial stage of the tests.
