Ambition

Our philosophy in lighting design is clear and simple. We know that a minimum of light is necessary for orientation and for working. But we want more than just this.

People should have a feeling of well-being, they should in fact experience and enjoy the time they spend in the indoor and outdoor spaces which we plan and design. For us light is always an integral part of the architecture. The inner and outer structure, the components and materials, all place demands on lighting. People also need far more form light than simple orientation. Lighting for people should activate, invite, structure, direct and sometimes even fascinate. Health is also influenced to no small degree by light.

Many demands can be fulfilled ideally by daylight, other needs however can only be met with artificial light which we can use unobtrusively and subtly, but also to dramatic effect.
