Projects

Have a look at some completed projects:

Horticultural Exhibition of North Rhine-Westphalia in Hemer

For the Horticultural Exhibition of North Rhine-Westphalia 2010 the former military barracks in Hemer in the Sauerland region has been transformed into a landscape park and gardens. The purpose of the lighting design was to highlight architectural elements and to increase the perception of space during darkness. Around the Forum this was achieved through the use of glare-free illumination of the facades of the barracks. In addition attention is drawn to the Jacobs’s Ladder as the central axis leading to the look-out tower (Jüberg Tower). So at night both the axis and the tower can be perceived from a great distance as a “landmark”.

New railway station in Lüdenscheid

In 2009 work began on a new bus and railway station in Lüdenscheid. The purpose of our lighting design was to create a safe environment for those waiting there and at the same time to set the stage for the station as the gateway to the “Town of Light“. We have achieved this effect on the one hand by immersing the station forecourt in uniform light through the use of luminaires with a wide beam mounted on lamp poles and on the other hand by highlighting the steel supports of the canopy with grazing light. These lighting accents have a striking effect from a distance which passengers can easily recognize. Additionally the diffused light provides basic lighting for the waiting areas.

Typakademie, Limburg

The seminar rooms of Typakademie are located in a small Baroque palace , the Stadtpalais of the Count von Walderdorff. Together with the accentuation of the curtains to intensify the rhythm of the windows, the lighting concept also highlights furniture and seminar equipment. Since the room is also used for examining colours, the ceiling is illuminated with a light which is similar to daylight.

Berker, Ottfingen

In the building technology training centre of the reputable switch manufacturer Berker from the Sauerland are different activities in the same room. By using different light scenes we can react to these needs. The even wall lighting enclose the space and light up the demonstration objects which have been arranged on a vertical plane. Accent and task lighting complete the lighting design.

comBOTS, Karlsruhe

The online service provider ComBOTS operates one of the most up-to-date data processing centres in Europe. The circulation space does not only serve to provide access to the building but should also be imposing. Our lighting concept sets the scene for the impressive technology on display. The light structures and plays with the vertical plane: light fugues, satin finish glass surfaces and wall elements with coloured backlight influence the perception of this unusual site.

Loher Wäldchen, Lüdenscheid

In this small urban park we have created an atmosphere which encourages you to walk across and stay a while. Streaks of light on the tree trunks set a scene for the trees and highlight the paths through the park at the same time. Visitors to the park enjoy a high degree of visual comfort since at no point do they look directly into the luminaires. Mounting the luminaires permanently on the trees while at the same time avoiding any damage to them was one of the technical challenges faced in this project.

Temporary light installation, Lüdenscheid

For the Lichtrouten we ran an outdoor lighting workshop with childrens whose aim was to change a small playground in the Old Town of Lüdenscheid into an attractive oasis of light. This project “A Castle Clearing“ was completed together with students from the College of Advanced Technology in Osnabrück.
