Why isn't the daylight calculated through a cutout in the wall?

Daylight is an important factor when it comes to light planning. Daylight also plays a role in energy-efficient planning. In this context, the following question reached us.

Why isn't daylight calculated through a cutout in the wall?

The lighting is calculated only indoors and only through daylight-relevant windows that direct daylight inside the building. Other building openings are not taken into account when calculating daylight. Windows located inside the building are not relevant for daylight. In most cases DIALux detects this automatically. If necessary, you can adjust this setting of the window in the "Building openings" tool. Outside the building, the scene is only illuminated for visualisation purposes. Illuminance levels are not calculated.
