DIAL Spotlight:
Putting People, Conversations and Lighting into Focus

Next year, we will introduce a new format. With DIAL Spotlight, we want to bring interesting topics, inspiring people, and influential brands into focus – across lighting design, engineering, and building automation.

DIAL Spotlight is not tied to a specific medium. It can be live or recorded, online or on-site. Sometimes it will be technical, sometimes conceptual, but always personal and inspiring.

Conversations are at the core

Once again, this year has confirmed something important to us: nothing beats having interesting conversations with people face-to-face.

This is why we launched our first DIALux MeetUp in 2025. It’s also why we enjoy visiting lighting design and engineering offices, and why industry events continue to be such important places of exchange for us. It’s also the reason why our booth at Light + Building 2026 will be a “Co-Creation Space”.

What we experience again and again is how much comes from simply talking and listening to each other. Genuine conversations create the greatest value. When people share their experiences, ask honest questions, and think aloud together. This is exactly the spirit of DIAL Spotlight: conversations with people we enjoy talking to, about topics we genuinely care about.

Curated by DIAL

At DIAL, we’re fortunate to work closely with designers and manufacturers around the world, sharing their strong appreciation for good lighting. Combined with our technical background and curiosity, this allows us to curate topics and conversations carefully and, above all, with enjoyment. We hope DIAL Spotlight will be as inspiring and enjoyable for you as it is for us.

Our first Spotlight

To kick things off, we will be talking to Zumtobel about the role of Human Centric Lighting (HCL) in lighting design:
