Lüdenscheid, April 22, 2026 – DIAL releases DIALux evo 14, a new version of the lighting design software that offers noticeable improvements for working on complex projects. With a new calculation method and optimized room views, planning can now be implemented even more efficiently and in a more structured way.

New room-by-room calculation for greater efficiency

Especially in large projects with many rooms and numerous luminaires, traditional calculations quickly reach their limits. Complete recalculations take time and can slow down the planning process.

With DIALux evo 14, DIAL therefore introduces the new room-by-room calculation. Instead of calculating the entire project at once, individual rooms or areas are calculated separately. The results are saved and then combined into an overall result.

This allows users to work on specific areas, expand projects step by step, or flexibly adapt existing plans. This saves time and ensures a significantly smoother workflow.

The new calculation method can be activated with a single click in the settings.

More precise collaboration with enhanced IFC export

With version 13.2, it is possible to individually adjust the IFC insertion point and orientation so that lighting designs align exactly with building models. These settings are saved project-wide, which makes the workflow significantly easier.

Alternatively, individual rooms can be conveniently selected with a right-click in the CAD view or in the project tree.

Clearer room views with scope boxes

In BIM models, components often extend beyond room boundaries, making views quickly cluttered.

The new scope box view provides a solution: within a room view, only the geometry actually located in the room is displayed. Everything else is automatically hidden. This results in a much clearer and more focused presentation. The feature is enabled by default and can be adjusted if required.
